Hi @VelanP,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that you would like to use "RAW port printing" with your HP LaserJet P1505n Printer. I would be happy to help you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution' if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. If you wish to say 'thanks' for my effort to help, click the 'thumbs up' to give me a Kudos.

I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to, please clarify in more details. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

Are you unable to access the embedded web server (EWS) to enable wireless?

Have you disabled wireless in the EWS?

It sounds like you would like to bypass the HP print driver.

  • Right-click on your printer in Devices and Printers-> select Printer properties.
  • Click on the Advanced tab-> select Print directly to the printer.
  • Click Apply and OK.

Hi Drakster,

Thank you for your reply.

The printer is connected in LAN I'm able to add this printer on the systems when I give a print but it does not printing, the job is simply in the queued and the status shows "PRINTING". then when I checked printer's web configureation RAW port printing stustus is disabled. All the systems are configured RAW Port printing. Refer the screenshot. I could not find the option to enabled this RAW port.

Please let me know if you need any more details.

Velan

Hi @VelanP,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Are  you sharing the printer on the network and connecting to the computer (with the printer attached) using a remote desktop connection?

Please respond to this post with the results.

Hi Drakster,

No, this printer is not connected to any computer directly. It is attached directly to network switch.

Thanks,
Velab

Hi @VelanP

Thanks for getting back to me and providing more details.

What you're doing is outside of our realm of support. It sounds like you are trying to configure the printer in the switch settings, in port forwarding, etc. This type of configuration is usually configured with commercial printers, rather than consumer printers. Perhaps our Commercial Support Forum board could be of more assistance to you.

Please post your question on this board:
