I've been using my HP 7500 E910 for about two years now with Linux Mint and WinXP VMs with virtually no issues.  I recently started using Windows7 64bit VMs and just installed the Basic driver for the HP 7500 (64bit version), but the paper size options don't include 11x17/tabloid.  I downloaded the driver from HP's site, it was called OJ7500_E910_Basicx64_1315.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Thanks,

-Brad

Hi BAJ,

I suspect you do not have the 11x17/tabloid option because you are using the basic driver. The Basic Feature software solution is a driver-only software solution intended for users who want a basic print driver to use with their HP device. This software installation can be used on PC's which do not meet the minimum system requirements necessary to install the Full Featured software solution.

I would suggest HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you require further assistance.

I have the same problem but with a new laptop with Windows 10.

i downloaded the full feature driver for the HP7500A wide format and installed the HP support assistant. The problem seems to be that the windows installed driver is the basic driver and I can't figure out how to replace it with the full feature driver.

Any ideas? Where can I find the full feature driver that was downloaded .

i tried uninstalling the printer and reinstalling.

Hi @SSrou,

Thanks for showing interest in the HP Support Forums!

I see that you're unable to select tabloid paper. I would be happy to look into this with you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. Yes, it would seem that you have the wrong print driver installed. If you have uninstalled and reinstalled there is likely corruption on the computer.

We are going to start by cleaning your computer up.

NOTE: If you're using a USB Cable connection between your printer and computer please disconnect that cable now.

Uninstall the HP Software:

To completely remove the print driver installed on the computer, follow these steps:

  1. On your computer open the Start screen by selecting the Windows icon on the bottom left corner of the computer screen or by selecting the Windows key on the bottom left of your keyboard.
  2. Under the Start screen type Devices and Printers.
  3. Click Devices and Printers to open the window.
  4. Right-click on your printer.
  5. First, delete any jobs waiting to be printed by selecting Delete print queue and then click OK.
  6. Right-click on the printer again and click Remove Device and click Yes.
  7. Repeat the same action for any duplicate printer entries.
  8. Now, left-click on Print server properties along the top menu.
  9. In the Print server properties window select the Drivers tab.
  10. Left-click on the Printer in the list and click Remove...
  11. Left-click Remove driver only and then click OK.
  12. Click Yes to confirm.
  13. On the next screen click Delete to remove the driver and then click OK.
  14. Repeat the same steps for any duplicates.
  15. Once you have removed the drivers, click Close on the Print server properties Window.
  16. Reboot the computer.

Reinstall the HP Software:
Download and install the HP Officejet 7500 Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer series - E910 Full Feature Software and Driver.

NOTE: During the installation process, leave the USB cable disconnected until the installer prompts you to reconnect it.

Hope this answers your question. Please respond to this post with the results. Thank you for posting!
