Hi Guys,

I am a Cisco guy (please be kind to me) and have just picked up responsibility for a ProCurve network.  I am in the process of trying to map out what I have inherited and have some ports on a ProCurve J9088A Switch 2610-48 that are up but do not show any MAC address when I do a 'show mac'.

Any ideas as to why I am not seeing a MAC address?  I have seen this before on ports connected to wireless access points, but I know that I hav already accounted for all those, so I am at a bit of a loss to explain this.  Any hints would be gratefully received.

Thanks
Steve

After looking at this in closer detail it appears that these ports are connected to IPTV's and the switch is not receiving any data from them - its all in one direction, so that probably explains whay I cannot see a MAC.

Now, how do I close my own topic?
