Product: Officejet Pro 8500 A909n
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

I have not used this printer in about a month.  Today I unstalled new cartridges and the only time ink prints is when I do head cleaning or alignemt page.  If I print from word document nothing prints. All color and black are new ink opened yesterday.

I understand that you are facing print quality issue on your printer after replacing ink. 

Not to worry, I will be glad to help. 

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

 

Found this HP Article which is the closest to the issue you have described, please try the steps suggested in the article and let me know how it goes. 

You can skip steps that you might have already attempted.
