HP M1212nf Laser
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The tray is full of paper and the message says load paper, then hit enter to select medium (something like that.)  When I try to print, it makes noise as if it's trying to pick up the paper. Does it about 3 times then stops.

This would be a great excuse to get a new M127fw. But I'd like to get another year out of this ole girl.

I've:

changed paper

powered off and on the unit.

Hello @extremetm, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see you are experiencing issues regarding your paper feed.  I'd like to help!

I'd recommend starting with a power reset on the printer.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

I would also suggest following the steps found in the document below.  Although the title of the document may differ from your issue, the steps should help resolve this.

Thanks for the link. I did find that document last night and tried everything to no avail. So I ordered a M127fw.

It was time. That printer is about 7 years old.  The best printer I ever owned. Hope the new one is just as good.
