My 5610 had been working flawlessly with my ASUS laptop, then an "Out Of Paper Error" occured.  I installed new drivers yesterday but the error remains.

 

This printer continues to work without the error when used with my old XP PC.

 

What can I do to fix this?

I understand that you are getting the Out of Paper error with your HP Officejet 5610. I am sorry to hear this, but I am happy to help!

 

Please take a look through this Out of Paper guide. 'Out of Paper' Error Message Displays and the Product Does Not Pick Up or Feed Paper.

 

If you still need further assistance, I will need some more information:

 

  • If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
  • If the printer is able to make copies.
  • If the printer is connected, Wireless, or USB.

I'm actually the thread author "decofonts" but couldn't log in without creating a new profile. This isn't an easy forum interface to work with.

 

Thanks for the link, but since the printer worked with another PC those weren't my problems.

 

I loaded a new driver with no luck.

 

Next I removed all HP software from my laptop and loaded new drivers & software. Success! Printing with both laptop and desktop again.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  OfficeJet 5610 All-in-One. OS Windows 10. Printer thinks there's no paper and doesn'tprint. But it does work right when copying. Paper sensor moves correctly when inserting paper, but problem persists.
