Officejet Pro 6978 set up scanner to use document feeder. It only scans from the glass.

Hi folks,

My Scanner is working fine however it does not give me the option to use the document feeder when scanning more than one page. The wireless works just not the docuement feeder when scanning. Document feeder works when copying. Thanks and appreciate your help.

Hey @ReggieLang, welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand you are unable to scan multiple pages from your Document feeder, but you can copy from it. When you open the scan software, do you see the option to choose source? If you set source to Document feeder and format to PDF can you then scan multiple pages? 

If that does not resolve the issue, please let me know what currently happens when you scan from the document feeder? Do all the pages scan but save as separate files? What is the current file format the scan is being saved as?

I also have the same problem with the office jet 6978.  When trying to scan it will only scan from the glass and not the feeder.  I checked the machine and there is nowhere to select source when scan feature is selected.  The only options I have are where to send the scan.  I would appreciate any help with this matter.
