hi

I did replace my ink cartridge (Cyan color) few days ago and is working fine... but after few days, i found my printer not able to work, all ink level shown emphty, and the CMYK keep blinking... and i try click print from my pc, is shown "HP Protected Cartridge Installed", all 4 color need to be replaced,

I'm sure i use original cyan catridge, and the setup black is original cartridge come together with printer.

Kindly advice on this...

Hi @tayvl , and welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you're experiencing cartridge issues. I would like to help.

Did you enable cartridge protection at any point?

I would first suggest removing the ink cartridges from the printer and performing a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

I would also recommend this document on An 'Ink Cartridge Failure,' 'Incompatible Ink Cartridges,' or 'Ink Cartridge Problem' Error Message ...

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

hi Jamieson

Thanks for advice, i did remove cartridge, unplug and insert all again, now the blinking happen for 1 ink level only, maybe that ink really run out, i try to shake that cartridge, sound like some fluid remain, is that right way to verify?

I do not other catridge to confirm if the issue really due to ink run out.

As well, to answer on cartridge protection, i do not enable any protection, i just use as it is after remove from box, is that anyway i can disable protection?

Hi tayvl, thanks for getting back to me.

It's odd that the inks are behaving that way.  The best recommendation I can make would be to contact HP directly. You can utilize this website to learn how to contact HP appropriately, based on your region: Contact HP Worldwide.
