Thanks for the offer of help.

 

I ended up figuring out a solution sometime after I posted my comments.  I ended up resetting the printer to factory defaults twice and then reconfiguring my wireless settings on the printer.

 

The first reset did not work, but for some reason the second time it did.  The printer worked normally using wireless communication after that point.

I have this same problem.  I tried to re-add the printer definiton .  Once the dialog box came up to add the same printer again, the queued up and "printed" reports began to print.  Some of them printed, others did not.  I printed from various applicatons (e.g., MS Word 2011, Safari) with no difference in behaviour.  My computer is a MacBook Pro and the operating system is OS X 10.9.1.  This device has been working flawlessly for months until this morning.  I recycled (powered down and powered up)  all units with no improvement in behavior.  My router is an Apple TimeMachine.  I have no other problems in the environment.  Nothing posted in this thread has been helpful.  This is frustrating.

Just purchase a new Officejet Pro 8600 3/31/14. Installed, scans and emails but will not print or print demo page. Seems to go through the print sequence but the paper comes out blank. I have the same printer i bought last June and never had this problem with the original 8600.

I recently got this issue, and tried everything without success. I finally turned off the modem and router and restarted them, which fixed my problem.

 

I could print from the web, on the MAC, I just could not print from any of the Applications.  I could scan from my Mac and could see all the printer utilities such as ink levels, but got 100% complete when printing. Nothing printed though, and I was not a happy camper.

 

My Windows machine continued to print perfectly, and it was only the newly added Mac that had problems

I am having the problem the same as everyone where it shows prinitng but doesnt. 

 

I am able to print status report.

 

1. Are you referring to the Officejet 8600 Plus as well? yes
2. What is the printer's IP address? 192.168.2.241
3. Can you access the printer's embedded web server (EWS) by typing in the printer's IP address into a web-browser?yes
4. What is the name of your router (so I can look it up and make sure it has Bonjour)? cant see a name on router
5. What version of OS are you using? 10.7.5

 

I have reset default settings twice, turned router off and on. Nothing is working. 

 

Please help. I am not a computer guy.

Since I installed Windows 10 on my HP Pavilion, my HP Officejet Pro 8600 will randomly not show or not print some Emails.

All connections say fine, troubleshooting many ways all say "no problem.  Printer is on and silent, 0 in que.

I JUST TURNED THE MACHINE OFF, UNPUGGED THE ROUTER, WAITED HALF A MINUTE, RESTARTED THE ROUTER  AND ONCE IT WAS ON, TURNED ON THE PRINTER AND VOILA! IT STARTED TO WORK AGAIN.
