How do I locate and lubricate paper loading rollers on Officejet 6500 Wireless

Hi DocE,

You don't. You can clean the rollers with a lint free cloth and water but I would advise against lubricating them.

Debris on the paper rollers might interfere with the paper sensors inside the product. Follow these steps to clean the paper rollers to make sure no paper remains inside the product.

Clean the rollers

  1. Gather the following materials:

    • A clean, lint-free cloth, or any cloth that will not come apart or leave fibers

    • Distilled, filtered, or bottled water (tap water might damage the product)

  2. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.

  3. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.

  4. Remove the rear access door or the duplexer from the rear of the product.

    • To remove the rear access door: Press in the two release buttons toward each other, and then pull the door away from the product.

    • To remove the duplexer: Press in the buttons on the sides of the duplexer, and then pull the duplexer toward you.

  5. Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with bottled or distilled water, and then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth.

  6. Press the cloth against the rollers and rotate them upwards with your fingers. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to remove any dust or dirt buildup.

  7. Allow the rollers to dry for 10 or 15 minutes.

    • If the product has a rear access door , reattach it to the rear of the product.

    • If the product has a duplexer , continue to the next step.

Clean the duplexer

  1. Check the paper feed rollers on the duplexer to make sure that they are clean, free of paper bits, and rotate freely.

  2. Clean the surface of the duplexer rollers the same way you cleaned the large rollers inside the product.

  3. Allow the rollers of the duplexer to dry for 10 or 15 minutes.

  4. Replace the duplexer. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

  6. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.

How do you access Duplex paper rollers. I sense you need a special wrench to remove cover. Am I incorrect.

Hi @DocE

No need to open the duplexer, clean the rollers that are exposed, ad roll them as you go.
