I am setting up PaperPort Pro 14.5 to scan from my 5514. When setting up the software it asks me to choose between, "WIA, WIA2, or TWAIN. I would like to know which of these would be my best choice.

I'm scanning mostly documents, and using OCR.

My system is Win7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Hi @GTSpeer,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you are wondering if you should use WIA, WIA2 or TWAIN for setting up your PaperPort Pro 14.5 software for scanning from your HP Photosmart 5514. I am happy to look into this for you!

For more details on WIA, please visit Windows Imaging.

For more details on TWAIN, please visit TWAIN.

As for which one would be your best choice, I believe is a personal opinion. I suggest trying either and making your decision using trial and error.

I would also suggest contacting Support for PaperPort, if you have any further questions regarding the software.

Hope this helps! :generic:
