No matter what the IP address was assigned by the router or one st by the user it didn't matter. It remained on DHCP address. Installing a new router the problem immediately went away no matterr how many wireless devices were on the secure network. One week plus and no disconnect so far.

Just tried it, pcwizard, but to no avail.

Hi jwdouglas,

Can you make a standalone copy from the printer?

Can you scan using the software on the computer?

Hi,

I have the same problem with not being able to scan from my printer to my computer.  I can still print OK but no scanning either from computer or from printer to the computer.

My Printer, Computer and Router are all in the same room and I connect the printer wirelessly.  The scan to comupter funtion is already enabled but constantly trying to communicate.

Can you give me any guidance please.

HI smiler13,

HP designed a quick and easy tool that diagnoses and resolves many printing, scanning, and connectivity problems: The HP Print and Scan Doctor. HP recommends that you download and install the Print and Scan Doctor any time you need to troubleshoot a problem with your HP printer from the link below.

Let me know what errors you receive?
