Hi @sanko-1,

Thank you for posting on HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I see from the post that you are having printer cartridge alignment error message on your HP printer. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,

This could be an issue if you have not finished aligning the printer. Are you loading the correct type of paper?

Could you provide me with the printer product number? (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...) http://hp.care/2bygf7l

Let's start off by performing a Hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.

Next thing, I would suggest here is to align the printer:

  1. On the product control panel, press the Setup button ().

  2. Press the Down Arrow button () to select Tools, and then press OK.

  3. Press the Down Arrow button () to select Align Printer, and then press OK. The product prints an alignment page aligns the printhead and then calibrates the product.

  4. After the success or failure message appears on the control panel display, press OK to continue.

  5. Check the alignment page to see if it printed correctly.

    • If the alignment page printed correctly, stop troubleshooting.

    • If the alignment fails or the alignment page does not print correctly, continue to the next solution.

For more details, please follow the steps suggested in the support document for - 'Printer alignment failed' Message Displays on the All-in-One

If you have followed the steps suggested and still having the issue, I would suggest this could be a printer hardware. I would recommend you contact our HP phone support for available service options. If your product is out of warranty please choose paid options to get the tech support number.

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone numberCase number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.
