I have an HP OfficeJet 8600. It include a USB port from which you can directly print photos in jpg or gif format. What I want to do is to print PDF documents that are on the Flas Drive. Is that possible? When I plug the Flash Drive into the printer it does not recognize any of the PDF files that are on the drive.
Is there anyway to print PDFs from a flash drive?

Hi JP57,
No, you would need to transfer them to the computer, and then print them.

Hello. I had the same problem too trying to find an answer to this. I found this question to Hp forum but i cant see any solution... It seems that you can't print PDF files directly from usb if the printer is not connected to a PC.
The only solution for me is to extract the PDF IN JPEG'S like pages with a PDF program like Adobe reader or Acrobat ,transfer the files to USB and then print them. The post is very old but someone can find it helpful.
Thank you.
