The ready light is supposed to flash when the printer is turned on, that's normal. Try running the HP Print and Scan Docotor. If it doesn't fix what's causing the problem, it should point at what is. Let me know what happens.

Hi, Experienced the same isue for a customer today, even powering on off the printer resulted in immediate green light flashing, and no prinnting capability.
Was going to take back for testing and decided to unplug from mains for 5 minutes whilst ocassionally pressing the power on button to disepate any charge from capacitors.
Reconnected and lights did the proper power on cycle of toner lights attention and status, and then test print worked fine and PC hooked backup without issue.
hope this helps someone out there resolve there problem.

Printer had paper jam issue due to a print job where the paper size was incorrect. Sorted it out with the right size paper - the printer completed the job. After resolving i tried to print a new document but the printer only responded with the ready light flashing and nothing else happening.
I followed what you described from your experience above and it worked! So i'm a very grateful "someone out there" cp1025 nw printer user!
Thank you!!!
