I appreciate your time and efforts,
That was a lot to read, just to clarify, by the end of it, you've mentioned that the update corrected the faulty settings,
Does that mean the issue has now been permanently resolved?
Also, if you still have issues, please follow the steps I suggested earlier as it should help your cause.

I appreciate your time and efforts,
I recommend resetting the printer back to factory defaults using the semi-full reset,
However, since the procedure is sensitive, I will be sending you a private message with the details:
Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,
Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Please reply back on the public post as this Private message box is not monitored.
