500 MFP M525 Printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

LJ500 mfp M525 scanner 30.03.45 error displays on console and unable to scan or copy anything.  Normal printing is ok, but not from the scanner.  Formatter and laser scanner assembly previously replaced several weeks ago which resolved issue but problem has re-occurred.  Able to unplug power cord, leave unit off for a bit, plug in and power on again which cleared error- but once attempting to scan, got another message on console "scanner busy - job added to queue" and it just stays there.

After power unit off and back on again, then 30.03.45 error reappears.   Found an HP article which suggests performing a "partial clean", but that didn't resolve issue.  Tried updating firmware which is presently at datecode 20150609, revision 2305090 000466.

Uncertain as to whether this is another laser scanner issue or not.  Unable to find any other troubleshootin/resolve tips about this kind of problem.

Additionally....  the event log shows several instances of messages which read

" SCN firmware assertion failure{0:s} sc_registers c 5647 (1)"

and

" SCB firmware assertion failure {0:s} rpc_scan_parser_cpb.c 403 (1)"

I am having the same issues with the exact same printer except the error is 30.01.44. Have you resolved the issue? And how?

No I haven't... problem continues to re-occur

Any response to this?  We have had 8 printers from 8 different locations fail with these exact errors.  That is 20% of our units.

Replace ADF assembly.
