Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are facing an issue with the print quality from your printer.

Don't worry, I will be glad to help.

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

☑️Recommend you to refer to this article HP Deskjet 1510, 2540 Printers - Black Ink Not Printing and Other Print Quality Issues and based on the quality diagnostics page results, proceed further, try steps:

✔️ 6 - Replace any low or empty ink cartridges

✔️ 7 - Align the printer

✔️ 8 - Print a Print Quality Diagnostic page

☑️ If necessary, try to update the drivers: HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads

Hi again Chimney,

So I've tried out some of the steps and can add the information that it seems to be the black ink catridge which seems to be the problem. I have cleaned the black nozzle but to no improvement- I am not sure whether there is a problem with the cartridge or the black cartridge reader (in the printer itself), because the supply level is supposedly good- It would be great to hear back on what you think and thank you so much both for your help!

Best,

Henry
