I can no longer scan to computer because the printer says it has reached it's limit of computers.  I can see the list, but have found no way to remove the computers.  Some of these are retired computers so i can uninstall from the computer.

How do i clean up the list?

Hello @signatureparty , and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see you're running into printer issues.  I would love to try and help you, but I do need a little information first. I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find your product number. Also, please include which operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit. With this information and the product number we can provide you with accurate information.

How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

Also, are you connected via wireless or USB?

Please let me know what you find.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

It's an HP6700, the PCs connecting to it are Windows 7 some 32bit and some 64bit.  The printer is a wired network printer.

Also, typo in my initial question.  Because many of the computers on the printers list are retired i can not go to the printer to uninstall Scan to Computer.  I have not found any way to remove computers from the printers list and therefor no new computers are able to Scan to Computer.

Hi signatureparty, and thanks for getting back to me!

I would recommend printing a fax report, and a network configuration page. This is to save a copy of your fax and IP information.  You can utilize the users guide for more information on the reports:

Once you have the info, I would recommend restoring the factory defaults on the printer:

-Press the setting button on the printer(which will look like a wrench)

-Select Tools

-Select Restore Factory Defaults

Please keep me posted!
