Hi,

Currently a full feature software is not available for your products for Mavericks, however there are some other workarounds to connect the printer to your network.

Please follow these steps to create a temporary ad-hoc connection and then set the wireless connection through the printer's EWS page:

  1. On the printer click on Wireless, then select Reset Wireless.
  2. Turn the printer Off and back On.
  3. If the wireless light is not blicking, click the wireless button and turn the Wireless Radio On.
  4. From your Mac click the Wireless icon and then on Join Other Networks.
  5. Click on Show network and connect to the printer SSID which includes J610 as part of its name.
Note: Allow 1-2 minutes to fully establish the temporary connection.
  6. Open Safary, then click the Bonjour menu and select the listed Deskjet 3050.
Note: if there is no Bonjour option at the top menu, click Safary > Preferences > Advanced and check both of the Include Bonjour options at that screen. click OK and the Bonjour menu will appear.
  7. Go to Network / Wireless and follow the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to your home network.
  8. On your Mac click the WiFi icon and reconnect the Mac to your home network.

Now both your Mac and the printer are connected to your network, go to Printers & Scanners and add the printer by clicking the plus sign.

Hi BARKLOUD,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you are experiencig Wireless Printing problems on your Deskjet 3050 printer on your MAC computer.

Can you please give my the exact error message that appears on your computer? If there is no error, can you please specify the symptoms?

Also, are you able to do a standalone copy from your printer?

Thanks!

Is the printer working standalone? Try making a b/w or color copy on the unit to verify if the hardware is working properly. You would also like to check if the ink cartridges are working or dried out. If the copy works fine, both the printer and cartridges are OK. In that case, we have to address the driver issue. Awaiting your response regarding this.

You can also try resetting the printing system by doing the following:

Go to printer and scanners from system preferences, right click on printer icon and

reset printing system.

If you have any other printer installed on the same laptop, then you might lose the drivers for them.
