Pavilion Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

 

When trying to print from Pavillion laptop running Win 10, I get an error message saying "printer needs user intervention..." I have no issues printing to printer from iPad or phone, only from laptop. I followed all of the HP online support troubleshooting directions, but it still will NOT print!

This is the one stop for all technical solutions. 

I understand your issue. I'll ensure that we work together and get this issue sorted out as quickly as possible.

1. Were there any software/hardware changes made? 

2. Since when you are experiencing this issue? 

Please try the below-mentioned steps.

Step 1: Check for blinking lights or error messages

Step 2: Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

Step 3: Clear the print queue

Step 4: Reset the printer and the computer

Step 5: Use a printing troubleshooting tool (Windows 7 and later)

Step 6: Assign a manual IP address to your printer (wireless connections only)

Answer to one and two is no new HW or SW.  Has been working fine until recently. Have already tried all the steps except step #6. How do I go about doing this?
