Hi @Corvette-3.

Thanks for stopping by the HP support forums. A very good day to you.  I understand that the printer power light and control panel blink on and off. I will be glad to assist you here.

Superb description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that.:)  It looks like a hardware issue with the printer.

  • Did this happen after a power surge or power outage?
  • Do you get any error messages?

For a start, please perform a hard reset from this link

  • . Then uninstall and reinstall the ink cartridges and check again.
  • Please bypass power strips and connect the printer to the wall outlet only.

If there is no hardware issue with the printer, this should fix the issue for you.

If it does not, the printer has a hardware issue. Please contact HP phone support from this link: http://hp.com/contacthp

  • Please select the country and type the model# of the printer. Then follow the on-screen instructions to reach Phone support to get it replaced. If the printer is under warranty then the factory warranty should take care of replacements for you.

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead.
