I called time warner and they worked with the router settings.  It took awhile for the changes to kick in but eventually both printers are now connected.

I tried to update my firmware per your suggestion for an HP Laserjet Pro 200 M251nw as we have a new router.  Says no update available and won't let me enter WPA2 passphrase. Not going to swith to WPA due to the insecurity of it. What now?

I have a M225DW and it does not let me use my wireless network. When I try to connect to my designated SSID and input my WIFI key, the printer states INVALID WPA PASSPHRASE.

I have tried out all of the suggestions within this thread and nothing has worked. I ask that HP or a very helpful indiviudal resolve this issue as myself and many others alike are experiencing a most frustrating problem that are only met with complicated resolutions that resolve nothing. The process of connecting to network should not be complicated beyond then having input the valid passphrase.

Please help.

Hello@pparch,

Thanks for the response.

I recommend you to contact your internet service provider and check if they can help you to create a new WPA key for the router.

Hope the information shared will help you. Please share for more.

This doesn't sound responsive to the situation at all.  After the holidays I planned to update firmware, driver, but not optimistic. Dreading it.

I have spent days trying to resolve the same problem and finally concluded that it's not worth the aggravation and punted.  To be specific, i have a Verizon FIOS actiontec router.  After a recent Apple OS upgrade they started posting a "Security Recommendation" on my home wifi, which was setup with basic WEP.  I researched it and decided to upgrade to WPA2-personal, as they recommended.

Getting my apple products connected was a breeze.  My home theater and HP products have been a nightmare.

I tried all of the online recommendations including shutting everthing (router, printer, PC), running the HP Doctor, uninstalling, reinstalling, resetting the printer to factory defaults, messing around the left-right-backspace buttons on passphrase input, nothing works.  And I am fed up with all of the idiotic posts saying 'cold start' everything.

I have concluded that HP MFP 200 printers do not support WPA2-Personal encyrption.  I quit!

Sorry, but you seem to be mising all our points.  We are not interested in changing our security to WEP - It's not secure. I'm not doing that just to be able to print wirelessly to an HP printer.  How about you actually update the firmware to the printer I have, HP Laserjet 200  Pro M251nw so we can print!
