I have the same problem. I updated MACOSX to the latest version (Catalina 10.15.7 19H2) and my HP 3525 dn stopped printing. I followed the instructions but HP Easy Start was not able to fix the issue (uninstall option is gray also for me).

I am no longer able to print, this is really BAD.

this list of actions worked fine for me, I am still having some "warnings" while reinstalling the printer, but at the end the printer works now.

ry resetting your print system.  Follow these steps:

  • Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
  • Click “Printers and Scanner”, then "Print".  
  • Right-click on the printer name, then click “Reset printing system”.
  • Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
  • Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
  • Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
  • Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners
  • If your printer does not display automatically, click the “Add button” (+).
  • Find, and then select the name

didn't work for me. I followed all the instructions/restarted computer/selected printer & everything looks like it's working but the printer dialogue says "looking for printer" and then disappears. Hey HP, I need a solution!

This seemed to fix it for me - Thanks!!!

I ran HP Easy Start - please note that you need to look for the Uninstall option before you click on any of the screen options!  I uninstalled all the old software, then reinstalled it.  Now I can print!

I am having the same problem. I have tried resetting the printing system and uninstalling whatever software I could find but still seeing the warnings and not able to print. Anyone else unable to fix it?
