HP has a history of un-debugged printer software and has no phone number to report problems. New case in point with new purchase HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 setup. SOMEONE GET THIS TO THE CHIEF OF HP QUALITY ASSURANCE!
SERIOUS ERROR on Setup: Website "https://123.hp.com/us/en/devices/OJPRO6978/downloading" has execute file with WRONG NAME. File is "HPEasyStart_5_0_3133_35_exe" with no type. I had to "SAVE AS" and rename to change "... _exe" to "... .exe". It did not download until I did RETRY . Then it worked as an execute file.
ERROR: Website www8.hp.com says On-the-Go Print, get HP ePrint app by clicking on "Apple icon DOWNLOAD ON THE APP STORE". BUT App store says "Item Not Available" in US Store.
DEFICIENCY: Printed instructions leave you at unpack and buy ink. Please add information about the features on the screen, how to use, and where to find further guidance and help!
