I joined this forum just so I could say....THANK YOU SO MUCH! It's barely an overstatement to say that this solution has changed my life. :generic:  I tried all kinds of other 'solutions' I found online and nothing worked. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I have J6480 and printed a Network Config. Page but there is no IP address.

This unfortunate behaviour may be presented on network-connected B9180s. When making a network connection from a Windows XP or Windows 7 (probably other versions also), the Printer Port is configured by default with SNMP enabled. Edit the port configuration and uncheck "SNMP Status Enabled". Recheck the printer.

I started to use the suggested solution and the wireless started working again.  Should I try to go ahead and follow the instructions (do you think it will happen again)?

Okay, so my problem is that when I go to print a document, it says that my printer is offline. I have tried to print the network configuration page, but it won't print. Can someone help?

Hi Medic 1,

Thank you for the very detailed instructions. I followed them and manually changed the IP, Gate and Printer terminal for my HP Office jet Pro 8500 A910. Old IP was 192.168.0.16, old Gateway 192.168.0.1.

New IP 192.168.0.200 and new gateway 192.168.0.2. Printer terminal TCP/IP to the matching new IP. As usual it printed nicely, yet 15 - 20 minutes later new print orders were not executed, ie the printer remained in limbo, all print orders had to be cancelled and the printer tured off and on again. Do you perhaps have any other ideas?

Thank you very much for your time.

I did all that you said and got to the point to add the IP address manually.  When I clicked on Manual it automatically changed the DNS configuation to manual as well.  What should i put in there?

Thank you!

Check out what Caitlin says back on pg. 12. It's been helping me.

Changing gateway seems weird, unless the gateway (access point, DNS, router, whatever you want to call it) ALSO knows its new local IP in the network AND this is permitted. At least, that's how it seems to me... Check out what Caitlin says back on pg. 12. It's working for me. But we all have different printers, and even then only the outsides are different. Who knows what's in the firmware, printer memory, etc., etc.????? Probably not even HP. Check out what Caitlin says, and my follow-up. Working for me so far...eventually, they want us to buy new equipment anyway, as long as we fall for their games.

I don't have much faith in what my Network Providers tell me, so I ask:

Purportedly, Arris Router has Range 200-255. My Router address is NNN.NNN.0.1

What is an acceptable address outside the Default Range that will not conflict with Router?
