When scan in a network folder on a WD My Cloud of my M277 dw I get the error message, the folder would be read-only or password is incorrect. A scan with the same settings and users working on a Windows share. Where's the difference?
Thank you in advance Steffen

Hey there Sunnys1508 🙂 Welcome to the community!
Can you see the NAS with the WD My Cloud app on that PC? How are the settings configures on the NAS itself when seen through the browser dashboard as an administrator? Do you have all the permissions?
I believe this topic would be of help to you 🙂

Thank you for your help, Captain_WD!
Yes, the share is visible and the access rights for the user are working from a PC. Also a file Scan001.jpg is generated when trying to scan in the network share. However, with 0 byte. Then the errormessage appears after a few minutes on the printers display.

I would try reinstalling the Printer software on your computer.
Then I would try assigning a static IP to the printer and then try resetting the access point on the NAS by resetting the password for the account used to access it from the computer.
This should refresh the connection and may fix the issue.

Which printer software on the PC? I scan directly from the printer to the NAS. The PC must be for that not turned on. The scan job I impart from the printer display and the setup of the scanner can be done through any browser.
A complete reset and new setup of the NAS unfortunately had no effect.
Still other ideas? I have no idea where I can still screw. 😞

I would contact HP's support directly as the guys there may have better suggestions.
I would also check if there's a desktop app for the printer that can also be used to connect it to a NAS instead of the direct connection. Sometimes using an app on a third device helps resolving such issues when the direct connection fails.
A full reset on the printer may also help here.
