I am having trouble doing a scan to e-mail with a document.  The way the function is supposed to work is that a document is scanned, pdf created and e-mailed to an address I specify.  The function seems to have a file size limiation, but I haven't found any documentation that specifies a file size limitation.  I am able to get single pages to work, and have tried with 3 pages and it works, but at 21 page document does not come across.  1 page is 299 KB, 3 pages is 1 MB, I would assume then that 21 pages woudl be around 7 MB.

There is no error, i just get the regular e-mail that says "Scanned document from HP ePrint user" notifying me that eprint center has sent my document, but there is no pdf attachment with the 21 page document (the PDF is attached for the 1-page and 3-page documents).

Is there a file size limitation for doing scan to e-mail and is it changeable?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.  What HP printer model are you using?

File size limitation may be dependable on the email that you a re using e.g. some email only allows max of 5MB attachments.

You can set to scan to a smaller file size (higher compression) from the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of your printer.

In order to get to the EWS, key in the IP address of your printer into a web browser and go to Scan to Email settings.

(If it is the first time, you may need to go to "Advanced" and proceed to the IP address when you see a prompt that it is not safe)

Depending on your printer model, you can change the Output Quality, Resolution and Compression. An example is shown below:

Hope that helps!
