Scanjet professional 3000
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

My Scanjet professional 3000's LED power light blinks red after turning on.  The LED will turn green when first turned on , then after about 5 seconds blinks red.  The LED blinks red 8 times then pauses, blinks red 8 times and continues this pattern

Hi dijuraj:

Here are some options you can try:

One user resolved the blinking lights this way:   Open front cover and the bottom of the front cover towards the bottom - you will see a white strip of plastic - in the middle of this is a little black finger that gets stuck under the white strip - with a paper clip or a small screw driver - with light pressure pry this little finger back up and red light will be gone

You can also use the troubleshooting documents for your model.  Troubleshooting starts on page 28. You may want to use the guide for "resetting the scanner" and 'scanner stopped working correctly".

I hope that helps.

Let me know if that works! 🙂
