Laser Jet Pro 200 color MFP M2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After a few day's in stand by (on/off switch blinking) the scanner MFP often shows only collored vertical stripes (see screenshot below)

By switching the MFP Off and On again the problem is solved  (for a few day's only.  : ((

Is there a patch ore solution for this problem ?

It happens in both operation modes:  in scanning/copying direct on the MFP and form PC over my LAN

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

It does seem that if this is a consistent issue even afer switching off and on the printer, then the scanner has reached the end of the road 😞

If it's still under warranty, you can contact HP for support, else you can use it until it's totally stops working and then get a new printer?

Thanks.

Thanks for your answer,

After switching on and off the scanner is working normal for a few days.

I think it has something to do with  "waking up"  after some more day's in stand by.

It does not happen when  I keep on scanning .(so never on the same day)

Reaching end of live time cannot be the issue  as the printer is working in a Home situation and the scanner is selden used !

I keep it alway's powered on and it falls a sleep automatic ( the led in the powers switsch goes from continuous to blinking).

I now  consider to switch it off  each night  when I used it during that day . Not really the idea for a Network printer that we can use from our smartphone's and I-pad's.
