Just bought this unit and would like to scan many pages into a single document, ideally sending it to an email, and/or to the desktop. I'm using Mac OS-X 10.8.5 with the Envy 5530.

Thank you.

Hi,

From the Applications folder go to the Hewlett-Packard folder and open the HP Scan Software.

Launch a new scan and follow the steps or the Add Pages button to scan additional pages, once you are done click the Save button to complete your scan job.

Regards,

Shlomi

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I found my problem....it was scanning to save as a JPG, not PDF, so it does work now. But I was really hoping for more options to change setting s(such as change the scan resolution).

There really isn't so much a HP Scan Software app to open. When I open the HP folder within the Applications folder on my Mac, all I have is the HP Utility; when I open that, I have a variety of options (Information and Print Quality; Information; Printer Settings; Scan Settings). In Scan Settings, it is set to scan to computer, but the Edit Scan Tasks button (lower right of that window) is greyed out. Do you know if scan resolution can be changed?

Thank you.

Where is the "Add pages" button? There isn't that option on the screen that I see after choosing Application/HP Scan.app.

Thanks.

I don't have an 'applications' folder.  I have searched for it using the Windows search feature and nothing.  Please give alternate instructions along with a link to any software required.  I've got some HP software that recognizes the 5530 but then gives me a general failure message when trying to scan.

Hi all,

The following video would be very helpful to show you how to do the multiple pages scanning to a Single document, it's done on an ENVY 5560 :
