Scanning not functioning on the HP 4500 G.  Unable to "save" the document. HP error message states "An error has occurred saving the file because it could not be written to. Chekc the properties for the file to make sure it is not read-only."

Mac 10.9.x OS

I have a Mac using 10.9.x OS. The 4500 Officejet will not SAVE the document. I get an HP error message, "Error    An erron has occurred saving the file because it could not be written to. Check the properties for the file to make sure it is not read-only."

hi 

 

i have a 3 in 1 prirnter till 2 days back it was working properly and now only scanner is not working and i am stuck with my scanning work kndly help, printe ris woriking scanner is not responding, saying i need WIA some drivers

so this was over a month ago....it still doesn't scan...why can't HP all-in-ones SCAN documents? Why can't you send out the printer and PC software to make them work? I've been without scan for over a year!!

Thanks so much for this solution. I have been trying to use the hp scanner since I got it 3 years ago without success. Who knew it was so simple!
