Hi,
Good to hear it's meeting your needs.
HP Scan Extended is the new UI for the printers shipping since last year. You got the latest and the greatest!
The HP apps or the HP Scan and Capture (embedded in the HP AiO Remote apps) is different : The HP Scan Extended has more features.
Enjoy!

I just read your tutorial and it is NOT an acceptable solution to scanning multiple photos. It's actually faster to scan individual pictures rather than using this cut and paste patch. I have a new Officejet 5740 and found the same problem. When will HP wake up on this significant software downgrade and issue a fix?

This is just a long frustrating process! I never even considered the function wouldn't be available on the Envy 5660 I purchased yesterday. Will updated software be available anytime soon with this function?

It is inexpicable that HP deleted this feature and makes scanning multiple photos so difficult. Can't figure out why they won't update and reimplement this feature. My next printer will not be an HP if they don't.

Hi @bevo24
Thanks for your feedback.
Please try this alternative Scan solution that will allow you to do what it does in the newer printers.
HP Scan Extended
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
Let us know if that works.
