HP LaserJet Pro MFPM225dn
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Just purchased  HP LaserJet Pro MFPM225dn and it installed drivers automatically.  Trying to Scan to a PDF, but this format is not listed in the drop down window.  How do I make this happen in PDF?

Hey @Tigh,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that you're experiencing issues when trying to Scan to PDF on your Windows 7 computer from your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dn. I would like to offer my assistance today with resolving this issue. Now, the Save to PDF option is built into the HP Scan software that loads onto your computer when you install your printer. Because you're lacking this feature I am thinking that perhaps the HP Scan software did not load onto your computer properly when the drivers were loaded automatically.

To start, I would like you to click here to download the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. This Tool will run on your computer  and 'fix scanning' issues for you. Should any software, driver, or connection conflicts be found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you.

Once the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool has completed, can you please refer to the following document: Scan from Windows 7 With the Full Feature HP Software for HP LaserJet Multifunction Printers

Within this document you should find all the information you need on how to properly scan PDF documents.

Please respond to this post with the results of your troubleshooting. Should you still be encountering errors, please let me know if anything failed during the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool running. I look forward to hearing from you! Smiley Happy
