Hello,
I used to be able to scan with my Color LaserJet CM2320 MFP printer but since I replaced some hardware in my desktop I can't use the scanner anymore.
Printing works fine but when I want it to scan from my desktop HP > Scannen it allows me to choose what I want to do (scan document, scan picture etc.) but whatever I select when I choose scanning, it gives me an error because the software has problems scanning or is cancelled.
Also, if I choose for start scan on the printer itself it can't find a computer to send the scan to.
Of course I tried everything, updating the software, uninstalling everything and reinstall it with the last drivers on the website but nothing helps.
Anybody knows what to do?
EDIT: I FIXED THIS PROBLEM BY GIVING THE PRINTER A HARD RESET! (turn it of then press cancel and right arrow)
cheers

Thanks for the confirmation. I wouldnt normally consider the problem that you posted as something that would be solved by one of the printer resets. Problems like that normally have more to do with installing the drivers on the PC and finding the device on the network or over the cables.

I agree on it should be a driver problem but after I posted this I found on some forum that a hard reset can help for this printer if you have scanning issues and how to do a hard reset.
However, before that I did also install the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64-bit) but that didn't get it to work either. I had to do the reset to get it to work so maybe it is a combination.
I do think the Universal driver could have something to do with it aswell (although it worked fine for years with just the normal driver) since 'UPD PCL 6' is now added to the printer name.
