We recently purchased a Laserjet Pro M1536dnf. I've been through all the menus as well as the user guide. How do you turn down the volume for outgoing faxes? The dial tone and calling out ringing is too loud and disturbing to the workers in the room where the fax is.

Hey Candlmc,
If you press the Wrench on the front panel of the M1536dnf, then you will be presented with the Setup menu. Scroll to the System Setup menu and select it. Scroll through the menu to Volume Settings and select it.
This is the section that will allow one to change the Ring volume and Phoneline volume.
Hope this helps,
Jason

Great! Glad to be of assistance. Sometimes options are a bit hidden in menus and take a bit of digging to find the correct menu option.
Have a wonderful day,
