HP Recommended

Hi, I have an HP Envy 5530 on a Mac running OS X Yosemite and have the same problem.

It automatically prints double sided and my problem is every time it prints double sided, it causes a paper jam. I have never sucessfully printed double sided without a paper jam and have wasted a lot of paper and ink. Like the other person, from Microsoft Word, there is no option to uncheck double sided from the print screen, that box is not there, it just displays a "Collated" box to check or uncheck with no double sided box in sight. And no option to include this box, I don't even know how you would get this box to appear. Help with this would also be appreciated.

However, I have found a temporary soulution (even if it's not fully what I want). When printing from Microsoft Word, instead of going to File, Print, I can click the Printer icon at the top of the screen in Microsoft Word, the shortcut button and it will start to print right away and this way, it does not print double sided, it automatically prints one-sided on paper. Unfortunately printing this way does not allow me to print in black & white or draft mode, it automatically prints in color. Which is fine most of the time, but sometimes wastes my ink, so in my opinion, this issue is not fully solved, even if I have found a temporary solution.

Hope this helps a bit!
