Yes, we have DHCP active because my computers use DHCP. I have one HP that is working correctly printing wise, but I have two that will not connect to the network.

OK, at least DHCP is active.  I have noticed that some HP printers do not like connecting with a bridged AP - they want direct contact with the DHCP device.  If that device has a wireless radio, move the printer closer to it and connect it for the first time.  You also may want to set a static IP outside the DHCP range when it is there.  When you move the printer back nearer to the AP it should re-connect with no problem.

We use a Verizon mifi jetpack. The printer was working fine, but I had to change the password yesterday for the wireless router, and now I cannot get my printer to access the new network. There is no button and I have no idea what to do. I have literally been working on this for 4 hours of searching webpages and uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing is working. Help!

From the manual:

1. On the control panel, press the Wireless button.

2. Look at the control panel display to see if the Wireless Menu item has opened. If the Wireless Menu has not opened, follow these steps:

A. On the product control panel, press OK .
B. Press the Right arrow button to select Network Setup , and then press OK .
C. Press the Right arrow button to select Wireless Menu , and then press OK .
D. Press the Right arrow button to select Wi-Fi Protected Setup , and then press OK .
E. Press the Right arrow button to select Pushbutton , and then follow the on-screen instructions to connect to the wireless network.

I am attempting to connect my LaserJet CP 1525nw to our home wireless network.  I have followed the prompts on the printer using the WPS key on the router, but the connection keeps failing?  Help.

HP Recommended

What router?  If your router was issued by your ISP, WPS may be disabled.

Hi,

I am having trouble connecting my HP Laserjet CP 1525 nw Printer to the wireless connection. It keeps giving me a message said it failed and to press OK. I've even used a usb connection directly to the router and still no luck. I recently moved so my internet service is through a different provider, called Frontier, so they supplied the router and I was wondering if its because my printer is still recognizing the old router?

Can anyone help? Thanks.

On the front of the printer go to the Network Config menu and Restore Defaults.

Now, try connecting your printer to your new network.

I am having a similar problem.

I am trying to connect my printer to the router after a change in routers. I now have a Apple router, which does not have a WPS button. My operating system is Mac OS X 10.9.4.  Is there a download for this OS?

Hi there,

I have read all the messages already posted here. None of them has worked for me. I have was connected to my printer just fine until I had to purchase a new router. I have an ASUS router, and a Sony laptop. I have even uninstalled the printer drivers and software and reinstalled them thinking that might work. I printed out the Network Summary for my printer before I uninstalled and reinstalled, and the Network Name (SSID) was the one from my old router. After the reinstall, the Network Name is HPCP1525-679403. I must assume this is the factory default. I have tried connecting using the pushbutton WSP method, as well as using a USB cable. Nothing works.

Can you help me?
