WIndows 8 App - HP Scan and Capture

Yep, we are still working on pulling in older devices for HP Scan and Capture.   I would not recommend trying to load the XP software onto Windows 8 - you probably won't be able to do so anyway.   I would just use the bare WIA driver, and use Windows Fax & Scan application to do your scanning.  There's a guide on how to use this application on Windows 8 on HP'S support page for your device.

Why is the Officejet 6500 E709a not on ist for downloading Scan and Capture??

The Officejet 6500 E709a uses a different protocol than the E710 series.   We are still working on adding support for that device.

Keep a lookout in the next month for a new release of HP Scan and Capture that adds support for manual cropping, as well as ability to change file save location!

Scan and Capture is still not available in the store to New Zealand customers. What gives?

I recall some previous posts about the app not showing up for NZ customers.   One person mentioned that they could see it on their wife's system but not theirs.    Has anyone else had success in seeing our app in New Zealand?   We are checking this on our end for any App Store submission issues, but it should be there... at least we don't explicitly exclude NZ.
