I have recently upgraded my Virgin Hub to the super hub 2, I have always had a HP C4780 printer and I have never been able to connect wireless. I have tried the trouble shooting steps to try and do this (through push button) however It keeps coming up with WPS error.

I thought I nearly had it when a message came up on the screen to tell me to turn the printer on and off but still no luck!

Can anyone help me?!

I have tried to run a wireless network test and the 802.11 networks reveal my router there, so the printer is clearly picking up my printer, it just for some reason does not want to connect wirelessly.

Any help to try and solve this would be great!

Hey @JonnyP , and welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you're running into connectivity issues.  I would love to try and help you, but I do need a little information first. I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find which operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit. With this information we can provide you with accurate information.

Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

In the meantime, I would recommend this document on Wireless printing center Troubleshooting Issues.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

Hi JonnyP, and I hope you had a good weekend!

Were you able to run through the wireless document in the last post?

What was the outcome?

Was there any change in the situation?

Thanks!

No change what so ever, I try to delete the printer and reinstall the drive but It still does not give me the option to go through a wireless setup, I have tried going into my wireless router settings to enter the WPS pin but that still will not connect, i have reset both printer and router wireless settings and it still is not connecting. Any thoughts?

I also printed off a configurator sheet and the 802.11 is disconnected so not sure how to connect it

Hi JonnyP,  I hope you had a good weekend!

I would suggest this document on Setting Up the Printer Software for a Wireless Network for the HP Photosmart C4700 All-in-One Printe..., particularly the section on wireless installation on computers running OS X v10.10 Yosemite, OS X v10.9 Mavericks or OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion.

Please keep me posted!

I have already tried that and it still does not connect, every time I get close it keeps telling me to turn the printer off and on

Hello JonnyP,

When the printer displays the turn off/turn on message, is  there any other errors appearing on the printer?

Does the turn off/turn on error appear at any other times?

I would recommend performing a power reset on the printer.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

I would also suggest plugging the printer power into a different wall outlet.

Please keep me posted!
