Product: Officejet pro 6230
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I am unable to do the full setup for my printer because it says I need to connect a USB cable. I have a standard usb that I purchased just for this printer but it does not work. I have at least 8 different kinds of usb cables of various sizes but none work. What kind do I need?

Hello @Megsims,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you are trying to find out what type of USB cable you need for your printer. I would like to help.
Nowadays there are numerous cables referred to as USB. the one that you are looking for will have a USB-A on one end for connecting to the computer and a USB-B for the printer.
The ends should look like the above image.
Hope this helped you out.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
