This question has been asked and answered dozens and dozens of times in this thread.  Read the first page or two of this thread, if you still have questions then please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system?

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? How fast is your internet connection? What browser are you using?

For my DSL connection it could easily take thirty minutes or more for some of the larger downloads.

You should be able to check the download progress.  In IE it would be in Tools, View Downloads.

HP Photosmart Premium C309a on XP 32bit

I've been running this HP for a few years with small glickes I could fix.

1 day I could scan from the printer to the computer, a few days later I was unable.

I uninstalled the software, from the original disc and from the HP web site software update.

I deleted all HP's files and folders I could find (I may regret that sometime in the future).

I used a cleaner to clean the registry and files and folders. I checked the Windows "Add/Remove" to make sure all was gone from the computer.

I defraged and I rebooted. I attempted to reinstall from the original disc, but it only allows me to add additional features. So I added the features once again. Both from the disc and the website PS_AIO_05_C309a_Net_Full_Win_enu_140_047.exe. Neither software allows me to reinstall complete new.

I can see the icon of the HP Digital Imagay Monitor on the taskbar. I can click on "Lanuh/Show HP Solution Center but nothing happens.

I used the HPPSdr.exe, but it only shows me what I already know that the drive is missing and to reinstall software.

The download of PS_AIO_05_C309a_Net_Basic_Win_enu_140_047.exe does not fix the problem.

The download of PS_AIO_05_C309a_Net_Full_Win_enu_140_047.exe does not fix either.

I downloaded the 22134_hpcom_C309a_fw_update_v4.exe and that tells me I am already with the newest version.

I've done the HP update from the start menu for HP's folder.

I can print with this machine but I used this as an all-in-one machine and now it's an anchor.

Maybe this is what HP relies on and figures it is time for a new one.

Hello run_joe_run,

Did you install the program from the disc or from downloading it online?  Was Solution Center once there but now you can't find it?

Thanks,

I need to check the ink levels on my printer.  HP tells me to go to the solution center under HP.  I do not have it.

I have bought a new computer with Windows 8 and have got my HP 2575 working on print, but cant scan a document.  I previously used HP Document Viewer or HP Solution Centre for this task ( I may have loaded these from a disc I got with the printer, but I dont have the disc now ) and wonder if you can tell me how to get these programs for my new computer.
