Hi Bolty,
Unfortunately there are no "newer" printers that will be able to utilize the 56 and 57 cartridges. You will find a list of printers that do use those cartridges here. Since you do have an older HP printer you may be able to get an upgrade deal through HP Technical Support. You also may be able to get those cartridges exchanged for different cartridges if you end up getting another HP printer. More information on the cartridge replacement here.

@ milifarmoldbarn - I will need a little more information in order to help out. Are the cartridges physically popping back out the chute when you try to place them inside the machine? Or are you getting an incompatibility error message on the printer after the cartridges are installed? What country are you located in? I show that in the US the printer is to take 61 Black and Tri-color cartridges. Have you moved to a another country since purchasing the printer? Are you using non-refilled HP ink cartridges?

Hi, note that the HP56 & HP57 cartridges are not compatible with the DJ 2510. The compatible cartridges are HP61 (if you're in the US) or HP301 (if you're in Europe). For more details on cartridge compatibility check out SureSupply...
