Hello,

I also upgraded from Vista to W7. having a scanjet 4370.  I downloaded the G2410 W7 driver from the HP site and it works. I have windows 7 ultimate. We now have to wait for the offical driver for the scanjet 4370 from HP.

Regards, Gerard.

Please tell me how you got the HP4370 Scanner to use the HP2410 driver.

I ran the 2410 driver software, but Windows 7 does not recognize it as relevant to the 4370 and so does not load it as the driver for the 4370.

Control Panel no longer shows my scanner.  When I plug it in, it beep at me but does not show up on the Control Panel nor does it attempt to find a driver on its own.  Nothing happens.

Hello,

I got the same situation while searching drivers Scanjet 4370 for Windows 7. Use the feature of driver searching from Internet automatically would help. I have installed the driver successfully, our users are able to use that Scanner now.

Hope this infor would help.

What is the URL from which you downloaded the driver?  The one that I have doesn't work.

My friend got the Scanjet 4370. I plugged in and did a Windows Update on Win 7 Ultimate. The driver it downloaded was 1.2MB. It does not show within the "Devices and Printers", but I opened up Paint from the start menu, and inside Paint click the drop-down menu to the left of the Home tab, select "From scanner or camera" and immediately the scanner started working. I previewed and scanned successfully.

I was also able to scan images using the import feature in Photoshop as a workaround.

I downloaded the xp driver and ran it in compatibility mode and it worked fine

Very simple and straightforward solution:

1) Download the driver from ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL17370/cs-81006-1/setup_full_G3010_4370.exe

2) Open the .exe file with zip, 7-zip, rar, or whatever program, to a location on your harddrive.

3) Assume the scanner is connected, then WIndows 7 detects it but tells you it has no driver and it does not function. Click on the Device properties > browse to Hardware > Properties > Driver > Update driver > Browse manually, and enter the location where you unpaced the driver package.

4) The driver will be properly installed, and the scanner works as a 'zonnetje'.

That approach did not work.  During the install the exe program that loads the drivers did not recognize the operating system and so, teminated the driver install.

I tried running as administrator - that did not work either.

The computer knows that it is a 4370 Scanner but the scan never happens.

MS Paint also states that there is no scanner (for both Import and scan).

i've had same trouble. allthough my scanner worked with the MS driver, but needed hp's software for it.

as i figured out is that G3010 and ScanJet 4370 uses same driver, so i checked for win7 software for G3010 and it was, downloaded and installed,

and it works like a charm 😃

software is here:

hp should have put link to this software pack under scanjet 4370 😉
