Won;t print a Word document

Suddenly today after printing a document from the Internet, my printer WILL NOT print a word document. It's worked fine up until now.

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to print word document. I would like to help you resolve this issue. 

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution.

• Are you getting any error message while printing?
• How is the printer connected to computer, wired or wireless?
• Print from a different application like (Notepad, Ms Excel).
• Did you do any any hardware or software changes?

Meanwhile:

Perform a power reset.

1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
6. Turn on the printer.

Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.

I have tried the powed on, unplug, wait and plug back in. It did not work.  I will print everything but a Word document.

Have the same problem. Will print PDF docs but will not print Word docs and command does not show in the printer actions box (inside Control Panel).

Is this yet another Windows Update failure?

Read somewhere else to turn off UAC, it worked. Not ideal but I can now print word docs

HP Envy 4500 does not print word documents. DOES make copies, so somehting must be wrong (or not connected?) with Microsoft word.

What do I do?

Having the same problem with WORD, has anyone figured out the solution?

• Print from a different application like (Notepad, Ms Excel).---Prints, Excel, PDF, everything except WORD
• Did you do any any hardware or software changes?--- Not recently that I can remember unless done automatically

Has this been solved? I am having same issue, can print PDF, paint, etc but not on Word. Really hoping to get help with this!

Read somewhere else turning uas off worked for some. in my case it turned out that the word document was locked somehow. Good luck
