I am connected to the internet and can print wirelessly. I can not scan a document on the printer to my email that I could a few days ago. Not sure what is going on.

Hey @lkc, welcome back to the HP Forums!
Based on your description, it sounds like perhaps the Web Services is not working as expected. I suggest using the front panel menu to check for a firmware update. To check for an update, touch the Web Services icon on the top left of the printer screen, then choose
Product Updates. In the Product Updates section seelct Check for Product Updates Now.
If the issue persists let me know and I will look to see what else could be causing it. If this resolves the issue, please be sure to mark your post as solved by clicking the Accept as Solution button below.
Cheers!

Thanks for checking @
I found something else that might help; take a look at what @Jon-W posted here:
There is another option available of putting in a custom DNS server. The EWS for this model might differ slightly, but the same general steps apply for all HP printers.
What you want to do is gather the IP address off of the printer, you can do this by pushing the wireless icon on the display and you may have to go to view settings after. Take this ip and put it in the address bar of your web browser as if it were a webpage. From there go to the network tab along the top of that page, then you should have an ipv4 option along the left under wireless (or wired if you are using ethernet). In here you can set a manual IP, and a manual DNS server. Set the DNS server to manual, and put 8.8.8.8 as the primary, and 8.8.4.4 as the secondary.
These steps will have the printer go through googles DNS servers, which does seem to resolve this issue most of the time. The main cause is your ISPs DNS servers may not have the web services servers in their system, so when it goes to connect it times out, and gives you the proxy message.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue or not. Thanks, fingers crossed!

Once I put the IP address in in the browser I got a not connected to the server. Do you think uninstalling the printer and re-installing it would help? If you could tell me how to uninstall, I'll be glad to try.

I don't think an uninstall would help at this point as you've indicated you can not access the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Opening the EWS confirms your current connect and since it will not open, I suspect there is an issue with the connection.
Let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.), and then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection.
Once you've refreshed the connection, check the printer's IP address (in case it's changed) and try access the EWS again).

It's no problem, it is a valid question. Yes, go a head and unplug the router, it will essentially just reboot without actually resetting anything. 🙂
