macOS 10.12 Sierra

tried to print an email to myself with a pasted document from wikipedia -- table and a picture. first the green light flashed like normal; then the yellow light flashed and nothing printed. turned off and removed from queue. tried printing another normal email and the same thing happened. what do i do?

it could be a few different things

 

1- your toner is depleted

2- the printer is not detecting paper (make sure its seated correctly w/ guides properly set)

3- there is a jam somewhere in the printer, blocking a sensor and causing the error light.

Thanks, Apone, for getting back with your suggestions. As it developed, none of them was the problem. I believe the problem has to do with some kind of script in the document which I want to print. Subsequently, after I pressed the "go" button (and got a standard test print), I was able to print other documents and emails. I was surprised that I could not print that one email (which seemed to me had no unusual scripts). Anyway, printing seems to be normal now. Thanks again and all the best!
