My c309a has worked great for 22 mo. Now however I have the dreaded "wireless radio is not functioning" report.
I have tried everything listed on the forum to no avail. I guess i'll be looking for the 1150-7931. If I cant find one I will not buy another HP printer thats for sure!!!

Has anyone located a reliable source for the wireless cards? My C309a just stopped functioning wirelessly this evening. Fortunately I had a long network cable so I was able to use it; that is after I wasted an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't get it to connect to my network wirelessly. This printer was way too expensive and is far too new to just toss.
As a corporate HP user ( this printer is my own home printer ) on a REALLY large scale I find this sort of turn your back on the private consumer posture alarming. I'll bet if the company I work for had a problem with their HP contract items HP would fix it pretty quickly....this company uses HP products by the semi load.
I'd be happy just to be able to purchase the part, install it and be on my way....it's out of warranty anyway what do they care?

My printers wireless just quit working. Had it only 18 months. One day, I just turned it off and it hasn't worked since. HP gave me a name of a company (Impact), since they won't (or can't) sell to me, but the cost is around $70. Looking into purchasing a printer that is previously owned in which the wireless still works. Does anyone know what other HP printers use the same wireless card??

How frustrating!!!!! On Saturday evening I experienced the same issue with my c309a wireless radio not functioning. I received the same error messages (USB etc) and spent hours on the phone with HP on Sunday. After walking through the diagnostic tests, failing them and allowing the technician remote access to my laptop, it came down to needing a new printer. I also had purchased the printer 1 year and 7 months ago which fortunately included an extended warranty. I paid $37 for shipping.
HP shipped me a refurbished printer but it is stripped of the following parts:
Control panel face plate
ADF input tray
Output Photo Tray
CD carrier
Power cord, USB cable, Phone cord, Ethernet cable, Print Media and memory card
Manuals, literature, set up guides, CD's
I really have a headache. With all the TIME I've invested with this issue, I now need to remove and replace the parts from my original printer. Is this normal for refurbished/warranty replacement products from HP?
Now that I've read these posts, I may try returning my printer to Costco, send the refurb back to HP, and shop for a different brand. Any suggestions on a good wireless All In One printer?

Just take the wireless card out of the printer they sent you and put it in the printer you already have. It would take alot less time than all the other parts they want you to replace. the instructions are in this thread, along with pictures

I have done everything I can think of to get this wireless radio to work on the c309 printer. It was working fine on our home network with two other computers and I can't get it to detect the wireless. My old 6100 series is still plugging along, on the same network, but this printer has given me nothing but fits since bought it, which was about 9 months ago. I even reinstalled the software!
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
