I read where you replace wifi card for this printer.  I have tried to find card using the p/n you listed but had no luck.  Can you tell me where you found this part.

Thanks

Ed

You can't buy a new one. HP is incapable of selling it.  If you are lucky you may

find someone selling a used card or a damaged printer with a functional card.

Either way such a purchase is a gamble.

There is no reliable source of replacement cards. If none of the above

sources materialize you are out of luck.

End of line.

This company doesn't list the part. They ask you to send for a 'quote' I don't recall if this is the same place that quoted

me ~USD 76.00 for a used part but they look familiar.

I have had the same problem. During warranty the problem suddenly fixed itself. Now the warranty has expired its back. Also the USB message is happening since I upgraded the software.

I have recieved quotes from 2 suppliers of a subbed p/n RSVLD-0707. one for $125.00 plus $15.00 shipping from Lucas Seven Inc and $55.00 plus ?shipping from The Bradshaw Group Inc.. Outrageous!

I have the printer working with a Ethernet connection and shared on the network so I can print from my Laptop.

Just wanted to add my two cents to a frustrating situation. I do have a HP Laserjet 6P thats very old and still functioning.

I joined this forum just to help you guys out...I see all the links to a wifi card listed but they seem to be used..I found mine here.. http://www.impactcomputers.com/1150-7931.html  brand new.I called them and they said they had 5 left on the shelf.I had the same issue..first the mysterious USB error..I actually blamed my wife for that one...Then no WiFi.The card was 54 bucks but at least with it being new I feel safe that it will last a while. And lets face it i'm not going to find a printer with these functions and wifi for anywhere near that price unless i buy some one elses problem.I went back up to best buy and was just going to buy another printer..switch the cards and return it ... but they didn't have any and I need this up and running since the printer is in the basemant and my laptop is upstairs.

Anyway..hope this helps.

Finally got through to tech support and a kind person who finally understood the problem. I mentioned that the Wireless Network Test Report clearly says "The Wireless Radio Is Not Functioning" and he said that was about as clear as a fault could be. After a short chat with his supervisor, he said HP would replace the printer body--the part with the wireless radio. All in all, a very pleasant conversation and not a long one either. The whole call took 5 mins to determine that HP would replace and maybe another 5-10 mins to work out the shipping details.  Kudos (finally) to HP!

What can I do to fix the wireless radio on my printer?

I also registered just to express my displeasure with HP.

It does appear to me there is a trend of radio failures, and it's shamefull that HP will not help out the customers of this model.

My C309a also experienced the radio failure (however, I have not had the USB message).

My radio failed at ~16months old, and I also performed the resets, uninstall-reinstall drivers & software.

Wireless connectivity was the biggest reason I selected this all-in-one model, and now that feature is gone.

HP should find a way to provide replacement wireless cards to resolve this issue, or, they will loose customers.

To make matters worse, I recommended this C309a to a coworker (before mine failed), and his printer head failed 1-month out of his warranty.

I hope HP gets their reliability up, or they will slowly loose their customers, including me.
