When I try to scan a document to my email, I get the message " Server Connection Error" There was a problem connecting to the server. Touch Retry, to connect again, or ok, to exit. " When I do hit retry, I get the same message.
I am able to print from my laptop, but that's about it. I have shut it down and restarted. I have unplugged it and plugged back in a couple of times and nothing seems to work.
I have tried to go through steps of other posts, but have been unsuccessful. It is an HP Envy 7645
I just downloaded and ran the HP Print and Scan doctor- which also did not resolve the issue.

Hello @elliotta13,
Welcome to the HP support forums.
I understand that you are getting a server connection error when trying to scan to email.
I would like to help.
The print and scan doctor would only find and fix local network and software problems.
The problem that you are experiencing is on the cloud side of things.
When attempting to scan to email the printer will send the scan to HP's servers on the cloud.
The servers in turn send the scanned document to an email address.
Most times a manual DNS will resolve this issue.
post with the steps, including screen shots, on how to do this.
If you have already set a manual DNS and power cycled your network, then it is time to call the HP Cloud Services department. Contact HP Support
I work on behalf of HP
